Hello Friends!
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking time to read this year's recap. 2022 has been a year themed in both growth and gratitude. It has been one of our most successful years to date and we have our incredible community to thank for that.
First, I want to start by saying thank you. We appreciate all of your continued support. Whether it be purchasing an online program, investing in private sessions, amplifying our business to your friends or family, liking our content, writing a google review and everything in between. SURGE would not be where it is today without the encouraging community that surrounds us.
Continuous education is a huge value here at SURGE. It is vital that as a trainer, I keep up-to-date with the most current practices, research and overall information out there. This means investing in workshops and new certifications. Over this last year I have been involved in six different workshops focused on, strength & conditioning, resistance training for 50+ and sports performance. I also received my Performance Enhancement Specialization (PES), allowing me to better assess athletes and general population clients.
Supporting the community is another big value here at SURGE. This last year I have been lucky enough to work on a powerful project with an incredible national mental health charity. Combining my passions for mental health, movement and communications. I am excited to continue to support the community and give back in 2023.
Supporting our clients towards their goals, that’s the dream here at SURGE. We are so grateful to have hit so many incredible milestones, from first push-ups all the way to pain-free movement. We even have the documentation to prove it! This year we launched our newly designed Client Profiles, which allow our clients to follow along on their progress each week. Transparency is crucial when building a trusting relationship and our Client Profiles are just one of the tools we use to ensure we make that a priority.
What’s next? I also am VERY excited to announce that on top of the work I am doing here at SURGE, I will also be starting to work with Young Fitness. A Calgary Volleyball specific Training facility. I am very excited to use this as an opportunity to grow as a trainer and continuously improve SURGE best practices.
It’s safe to say this last year has been one that we will hold very close to our hearts. It forced us to try new things and get uncomfortable, but hey, growth is an uncomfortable process and we are always up for a challenge. I can’t wait to see all the growth opportunities for 2023. Thanks for joining this crazy ride with us, but make sure you hold on, because we are only getting started.
Have a wonderful holiday season
With gratitude,
- Head Trainer: Shantelle Jonassen
